José Luis Tena, a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic, is now a member of the Cleveland Guardians organization. In 2001, on March 20, Tena was born.



Tena joined the Cleveland Indians organization in July 2017 after signing as an international free agent. He began his career with the Dominican Summer League Indians, where in 51 games he produced a batting average of 313 with one home run and 23 runs batted in.

He had a batting average of.325 in 44 games with the Indians of the Arizona League during the 2019 campaign. He also hit one home run and drove in 18 runs.



He did take part in one game because the minor league season was not played in 2020.

Tena participated in 107 games with the Lake County Captains in 2021, compiling a batting line of.281/.331/.467 with 16 home runs and 58 runs batted in.

After the regular season, he played for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League, where he earned the batting title with a.387 batting average over the course of 17 games.
Tena was signed to the 40-man roster of the team afterward known as the Cleveland Guardians on November 19, 2021.
