Eric Bieniemy

Eric M. Bieniemy Jr., a former player and current offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, was born on August 15, 1969. He formerly worked as a coach with the Kansas City Chiefs.

He went on to play collegiate football with the Colorado Buffaloes, where he was chosen to the All-American team by a unanimous vote.

He was selected 39th overall in the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers, and he became the team’s first wide receiver. Among other teams, he has played for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Bieniemy returned to Colorado after his playing career ended and joined the Buffaloes’ coaching staff as the running backs coach.

He was the offensive coordinator at Colorado before joining the Kansas City Chiefs as the running backs coach in 2011.

In his eight seasons as an NFL running backs coach, he coached Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles, who combined for seven pro bowl trips in eight seasons.
