Ons Jabeur faces Tatjana Maria in the third round of the final on Saturday. The players are scheduled to arrive on the court at 13:30 BST.
Ons Jabeur and Tatjana Maria will face each other this afternoon on center court in the Wimbledon final. It’s no surprise to see world no. 2 and third seed Jabeur in the semifinals.
The 27-year-old did everything in Berlin to start her turf season and she was similarly impressive at SW19, dropping just one set en route to the last four to reach her maiden Grand Slam semi-final.
She is now facing Maria, who describes Jabber as “a member of my family.”
The German has needed three sets in all but one of her matches in the tournament so far, but she has already beaten some big names, like Jelena Ostapenko and Maria Sakkari.
Maria had never progressed past the third round of a Grand Slam tournament before arriving at Wimbledon. Follow all the action live below as Matt Verri covers Wimbledon.
At what point do you think your project will be finished? Jabeur saved the match with a well-executed forehand volley winner.
Jabeur has definitely won over some new fans with her hand skills on Centre Court. She flicks a backhand away to win the point.
