Phil Maton is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball at Louisiana Tech University.

Traded to Cleveland Indians on July 12, 2019, in return for international bonus pool allotments. Maton had a 2.92 ERA in 1213 innings in his next nine appearances for the Cleveland Indians.

During his time with the Indians, Maton compiled a 3–3 record with a 4.57 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 21.2 innings of work in 23 appearances.

Yainer Diaz and Myles Straw were traded to the Houston Astros on July 30, 2021, along with Maton. In 2021, Maton was 4–0 with a 4.97 ERA while in Houston. He threw 25+13 innings in 27 appearances.

On March 22, 2022, Maton and the Astros agreed to a $1.55 million contract for the season, avoiding arbitration. He threw a perfect inning against the Texas Rangers on June 15, 2022, striking out Nathanial Lowe and Ezequial Duran in the seventh inning at Globe Life Field.
