Located in Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Steelers play professional American football. The Steelers are a member team of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division of the National Football League (NFL).

The Steelers are the oldest franchise in the AFC and the seventh-oldest franchise in the NFL. They were founded in 1933.

Steelers Kickers

Boswell has been as automatic as they come for the Steel City, with the exception of a shaky 2018 in which he made only 13 of his 20 field goal tries. In five seasons, the Rice product has connected on 90% of his shots or better, including three straight seasons after his tough period.

Although the kicker will now be negotiating the strong gusts of the newly christened Acrisure Stadium, the moniker of the Steelers’ home field may have changed.

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport on Monday, Chris Boswell has agreed to a four-year, $20 million contract deal with Pittsburgh, with $12.5 million guaranteed.

With an 88.4 field goal percentage over seven NFL seasons, all spent with the Steelers, Boswell is the fourth-most accurate kicker of all time.

The greatest kickers in Pittsburgh Steelers’ history have all contributed to some of the most important events in the team’s past.

Every successful or unsuccessful kick in an NFL game is of utmost importance, and every starting kicker has the chance to be a hero because games can be decided by one or two points.

Early greats like Gary Anderson and Roy Gerela helped forge their own legacies in the early days of the team, while more contemporary stars like Jeff Reed and Chris Boswell have left their imprint on the Steelers’ history.
