According to a criminal complaint that was filed in this case, surveillance video that was obtained by investigators shows missing Memphis teacher Eliza Fletcher being violently abducted during her early morning jog by a man who matches the description of a suspect charged in the kidnapping. Fletcher was a teacher at a school in Memphis.

An extensive search for Fletcher is currently taking place, and her family has announced that they would pay a reward of $50,000 for information that helps locate her.

Cleotha Abston, 38, was arrested and charged with exceptionally aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence in connection with the investigation into the disappearance of a kindergarten teacher. The Memphis Police Department made the announcement via Twitter early on Sunday morning.



After being located inside an SUV that investigators were seeking in connection with the kidnapping, Abston was taken into custody by the police on Saturday evening, according to their statement.

According to an affidavit of the complaint that was made public on Sunday by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, and that was obtained by ABC News, it was stated that Abston was taken into custody outside the home of a woman to who the SUV is registered, and where Abston was residing, according to the affidavit.

Abston was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute with the woman.
