President Bill Clinton named Madeleine Albright the U.S. representative to the United Nations not long after he was introduced in 1993, and designated her as the secretary of state three years after the fact.

She was affirmed in 1997 by a vote of 99-0. At that point, she was the most noteworthy positioning lady throughout the entire existence of the U.S. government.

Albright was born on May 15, 1937, in Prague, where her dad was a senator, and her family escaped Czechoslovakia when she was 2 years of age to get away from the Nazis.
