Mira Sorvino

Katherine Sorvino was born on September 28th, 1967 in the city of Tenafly, which is located in New Jersey. She was nominated for both the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for her work in the film Mighty Aphrodite,

directed by Woody Allen (1995). In 1989, she received her degree in East Asian studies from Harvard University with the highest possible honours.

She was instrumental in establishing one of the co-ed Cappella groups at Harvard, the Harvard-Radcliffe Veritones. Mira Sorvino and Quentin Tarantino had a romantic relationship between the years 1996 and 1998.



In August 2003, she was at a charades party hosted by a friend when she first met actor Christopher Backus. They wed in a private civil ceremony at the Santa Barbara, California courthouse on June 11th, 2004,

which took place in the year 2004. Mirasorvone is the name that entomologist Thomas Eisner gave to a chemical that was discovered to be secreted as a kind of self-defence by the sunburst diving beetle.

Amanda Sorvino
