Ryan Vilade is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021.
Vilade spent his childhood in Frisco, Texas, and completed his freshman, sophomore, and junior years of high school in the same city.
After completing his junior year of high school, he participated in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game in July 2016 at Wrigley Field. There, he won the Home Run Derby with 18 home runs and was named the MVP of the game.
In the previous fall, he had competed for the United States 18-and-under national team. After his father accepted a position as an assistant coach for the Oklahoma State Cowboys baseball team, the family relocated to Stillwater, Oklahoma, before his senior year of high school.
Following his relocation, he attended and ultimately graduated from the Stillwater High School located in Stillwater. After batting, he was recognized as the best baseball player in Oklahoma by the Gatorade organization during his senior year.
