Garrett Cleavinger

Garrett J. Cleavinger plays professional baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team. He plays as a pitcher for the Dodgers and has a height of 1.85m. Garret grew up in Lawrence Kansas where he was born on April 23, 1994. 

He played baseball in high school at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas where he graduated in 2012. After high school, he played college baseball at the University of Oregon for the Oregon Ducks. During the 2015 MLB draft, the Baltimore Orioles selected him in the third round of the draft.

He signed with them and made his professional debut that year with the Aberdeen IronBirds. The following year, he spent the season playing for both the Delmarva Shorebirds and the Frederick Keys. The Orioles traded him in July 2017 to the Philadelphia Phillies.

Whiles with the Phillies, he was first called up to the majors on September 8, 2020, but did not play that day so he was called up again on September 15, 2020, before he was finally able to make his MLB debut on September 17, 2020. The Phillies traded him in December 2020 to the Los Angeles Dodgers and he has been there to date.
