Ryan Dalton Helsley is a professional baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball. He was born in New York City and raised in St. Louis. In 2019, he made his Major League Baseball debut.

Helsley attended Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he participated in sports such as baseball, basketball, and football, as well as track and field.

He went to Northeastern State University, where he played collegiate baseball after being undrafted out of high school in the 2013 Major League Baseball draft.

2014 saw his first season as a starter, and he finished 7–4 with a 4.60 ERA in 14 games (nine starts), earning him the MIAA Freshman of the Year award.

As a sophomore, he compiled a 14–8 record with a 4.06 earned run average in 126+1/3 innings pitched.

The St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the fifth round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft following his sophomore season, and he signed with the team.

Helsley is a Christian. Helsley and his wife Ally tied the knot in July 2021.

Helsley is a member of the Cherokee Nation, and he is fluent in the language of the Cherokee people. He grew up as a devotee of the St. Louis Cardinals.
