Many consider Jason Peters to be one of the all-time greats and the best offensive tackle in National Football League (NFL) history.

He is currently retired and last played for the Chicago Bears. He was born in Queen City, Texas, on January 22, 1982. He was a defensive tackle for the Arkansas Razorbacks throughout his collegiate career. He was a backup defensive lineman when his freshman season began.

He caught 21 passes for 218 yards and four touchdowns during his junior year, earning him a spot on the second team of the Southeastern Conference.

He played for the Philadelphia Eagles in between playing for the Buffalo Bills, where he began his career and had his best seasons. From 2007 through 2011 and again from 2013 to 2016, Jason Peters was a Pro Bowl selection.

He was a four-time second-team All-Pro as well as a first-team All-Pro in 2011 and 2013. For all the teams he supported, he donned the #71 jersey. In 2004, the Buffalo Bills signed Jason Peters as an undrafted rookie free agent. In 2006, Peters prevailed over former Texas standout Mike Williams to start at right tackle for the Bills.

Peters received compensation for his performance, which resulted in the Bills offering him a $15 million, 5-year contract in the offseason. Peters was firmly established as the starting right tackle in 2007 as the season started.
