Tyler Allgeier is an American football running back for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at BYU.



In 2018, Allgeier participated in four games for BYU and had nine carries for a total of 49 yards in his first year. In 2019, he switched positions and started playing linebacker instead of running back.

He participated in all 13 games that season, earning 26 tackles and 0.5 sacks on defense while also carrying the ball 17 times for 119 yards and 119 yards receiving.



Allgeier made the switch back to running back for the 2020 season and participated in all 11 games, starting eight of them.

He concluded the year with 13 touchdowns and 1,130 rushing yards on 150 carries. His total yards came from the ground.

In 2021, he made his comeback as the starting running back for BYU.

On December 28, 2021, Allgeier made the announcement that he would join the draft rather than wait the additional two years required to complete his eligibility.
