Nolan Arenado Parent: Meet Fernando Arenado And Millie Arenado

Nolan Arenado, full name Nolan James Arenado plays professional baseball as a third baseman for the St Louis Cardinals baseball team. Nolan was born on April 16, 1991, in Newport Beach, California in the USA. He was a student at El Toro High School in Lake Forest where he played baseball for the school team. After high school, he was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the second round of the 2009 MLB draft.



Nolan chose to sign with the Rockies instead of going to college to play college baseball. The Rockies made him make his professional debut that year playing with the Casper Ghosts of the Rookie-level Pioneer League. He spent the 2010 season with the Asheville Tourists of the Class A South Atlantic League. He was promoted to the major leagues in 2013 and he made his MLB debut on April 28 2013 for the Colorado Rockies.

The Rockies traded him to the St Louis Cardinals in February 2021. In 2021 during the MLB All-Star Game in Denver, he was named the National League’s starting third baseman. He also won the Gold Glove Award at third base which he happened to be one of five Cardinals to win that year.

His mother Millie, is from Queens, New York and is of Cuban and Puerto Rican ancestry.
