Patrick Mazeika Parents: Meet Patti and Joe Mazeika

One of the professional baseball players with the New York Mets baseball team is Patrick Mazeika. Patrick was born on October 14, 1993, in Springfield, Massachusetts in the United States of America. He played college baseball at Stetson University.



Before he graduated from the University, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) in 2013. In 2014, he played for the Chatham Anglers. During the 2015 MLB draft, the New York Mets selected him in the 8th round of the draft.

Patrick made his professional debut that year as he was assigned to play with the Kingsport Mets. He spent 2016 with the Columbia Fireflies. He spent the 2017 minor league season playing for the St. Lucie Mets and later played for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. He spent the whole of the 2018 season playing for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

The New York Mets called him up to the majors for the first time in August 2020 but he was unable to make his MLB debut that day. The Mets called him up for a second time but he still could not make his MLB debut. He was finally able to make his debut on May 5, 2021, after he was recalled to the major leagues.
