Rowan Wick is a Canadian born baseball pitcher who is currently a part of the Major League Baseball and plays for the Chicago Cubs baseball team. He grew up in North Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. He was born on November 9, 1992.



Rowan was a student at Carson Graham Secondary School located in North Vancouver. He played baseball for the school team and when he completed in 2010, he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 19th round of the 2010 MLB draft. He did not sign with the Brewers and instead decided to play college baseball at St. John’s University.

He played college baseball at St John’s for a year after which he got a transfer to Cypress College where he continued his baseball career by playing for the La Crosse Loggers of the summer collegiate Northwoods League in 2011.



During the 2012 MLB draft, the St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the ninth round of the draft. He signed with the Cardinals to make his professional debut by playing with the Gulf Coast Cardinals. He played as a catcher for them.

Rowan was claimed off waivers by the San Diego Padres in 2018. He made his MLB debut for the Padres on August 31, 2018. In November of that year, the Chicago Cubs purchased his contract and he had been with them to date.
