Is Mauricio Dubon Still On The Giants?

Mauricio Dubon appeared in two games for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2019 before being traded to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for Drew Pomeranz and Ray Black on July 31st.

He participated in 28 more games, with a .274 batting average, 4 home runs, and 9 RBIs. During the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, he was the Giants’ primary centerfielder and appeared in 54 of the team’s 60 games.

For an OPS+ of exactly 100, he slugged .274 with four home runs and 19 runs batted in.

He had a .240 batting average in 74 games with five home runs and 22 RBIs in 2021, when the Giants shocked the baseball world by becoming the greatest team in the league.

Astros starting the second baseman José Altuve was out with an injury at the time, while backup infielders Aledmys Diaz and Niko Goodrum were underwhelming.
