A.J.’s proud parents are Brenda and Danny Minter. Tyler, Texas, is where the former Texas A&M great grew up. Brenda and Danny gave birth to their son Alex Jordan Minter on September 2, 1993. Their son is a professional Baseballer for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball. He is also known to play college baseball at Texas A&M University.
A.J’s mom Brenda and dad Danny made a declaration about her son. “He had a dream of pitching in the 9th inning with the bases loaded of the World Series,” Danny Minter recollected.
“We have a lot of friends that are Astro fans,” Brenda explained. “But they tell me they’re pulling for A.J. when he comes in.” “We were just on the phone with a guy who is an Astros fan, but his son went to school with A.J.,” Danny shared. “So he’s pulling for the Astros, but he pulls for A.J. when he’s pitching.”
While their son realizes his ambition on baseball’s largest stage, several of the Minters’ friends in Texas are torn between pulling for their cherished team and rooting for A.J.
The Atlanta Braves selected Minter in the second round of the 2015 MLB Draft, and he debuted in 2016. He was elevated to the senior team on August 23, 2017.
