Yunior Marte is one of the professional baseball pitchers with the San Francisco Giants baseball team of the Major League Baseball (MLB). Yunior is 1.88 m and weighs 82 kg. He wears jersey number 81 for the Giants.



Yunior was born in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic on February 2, 1995. He had his non-professional baseball career in his birth town before the Kansas City Royals signed him in July 2012 as an international free agent. He earned $90,000 as a signing bonus.

He began his professional career in 2013 when he was named the Dominican Royals Pitcher of the Year in the Dominican Summer League. In 2014, he played with the rookie-level Burlington Royals and in the 2015 minor league season, he was assigned to play for the Single-A Lexington Legends.

He spent the 2017 baseball season playing with the High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals where he made 17 appearances for them. Yunior was assigned to play for the Class AA Northwest Arkansas Naturals in 2018.

Yunior played for both Northwest Arkansas and the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers during the 2019 minor league season. In 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Yunior did not play in a game as the season was cancelled.

He became a free agent in November 2020 and in December 2020, he signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants baseball team.
