Brendan Michael Donovan is a professional baseball player who plays as an infielder for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. Brendan was born in Germany but was raised in Alabama in the USA.
He was born to Jim and Lisa Donovan on January 16, 1997, in Würzburg, Germany. Brendan played high school baseball at Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Alabama. He also played college baseball at the University of South Alabama. Whiles in his junior year in college, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
In 2018, he was drafted out of college by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 7th round of the 2018 MLB draft. He agreed to play for them and signed with them. He began his professional career that year with the State College Spikes of the Class A Short Season New York–Penn League.
During the 2019 minor league season, he was with the Peoria Chiefs of the Class A Midwest League and played a game for the Memphis Redbirds of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League. There was no game in 2020 as the season got cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
