Michael Purcell, an American football nose tackle for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League, was born on April 20, 1991. He attended Wyoming for his college football career before being acquired as an undrafted free agent by the San Francisco 49ers in 2013.
At the University of Wyoming, Purcell participated in 42 games (36 starts) and finished his four-year career with 197 tackles, four sacks, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
On May 7, 2013, the San Francisco 49ers signed Purcell as an undrafted free agent. On September 2, 2013, he was added to the team’s practice squad.
