Drew VerHagen is an American professional baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Detroit Tigers from 2014 to 2019.

For the Oklahoma Sooners, VerHagen threw 13+3 innings with a 3.38 earned run average (ERA) during his freshman year at college in 2010.

At Hyannis Harbor Hawk of Cape Cod League, he was 1–1 and had a 1.66 earned run average.

Next the 2011 National Junior College Athletic Association JUCO World Series championship squad at Navarro College, he transferred there the following year.

VerHagen then went on to play for the Vanderbilt Commodores in 2012, appearing in 27 games, starting seven of them, and going 6-3 with a 3.50 ERA in 69 13 innings pitched.

VerHagen was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the fourth round of the 2012 MLB Draft.

For the Gulf Coast League Tigers and the Lakeland Flying Tigers of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League, VerHagen pitched after signing with the Detroit Tigers. In 2012, he was 0–3 with a 3.48 ERA in 10 appearances, six of which were starts.
