Yulieski Gourriel Castillo, commonly known as Yuli Gurriel and nicknamed “La Piña”, is a Cuban professional baseball first baseman for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball.

Born on June 9, 1984 (age 37 years), Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, Yulieski is said to be married to his wife by the name of Lianet Barrera.



He is said to wear the number 10 for the Houston Astros as a first baseman.

Yulieski’s parents are  Lourdes Gourriel and  Olga Ledia Castillo Fernandez. he is said to have a brother who also plays in the MLB known as Lourdes Gurriel.

Gurriel had a solid season during the 2004–05 Cuban National Series (CNS), leading the league in hits and runs scored. However, he truly dominated in 2005–06, leading the series in runs batted in (RBI), runs, and triples.
