Manuel Elias Pia Reyes is a Major League Baseball catcher with the Atlanta Braves. From 2011 to 2013, he was a member of the Kansas City Royals, and from 2016 to 2021, he was a member of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Piña debuted in the Texas Rangers organization in 2005, hitting .247 in 27 games for the AZL Rangers. Due to right elbow surgery, he missed the majority of the 2006 season.



In 2007, he hit .244 in 14 games for the AZL Rangers. He had a.228 batting average in 86 games for the Clinton LumberKings in 2007.

He hit .267 overall in 61 games with the Bakersfield Blaze and 23 games with the Frisco RoughRiders in 2008. He hit .259 in 86 games with the RoughRiders again in 2009.

Piña and outfielder Tim Smith were traded to the Kansas City Royals on September 3, 2009, for Daniel Gutierrez.

Following the disabled list placement of Matt Treanor, the Royals added Pia to their active roster on July 31, 2011.

In a win over the Baltimore Orioles on August 3, he made his major league debut, getting two singles. In the first inning of this game, he also threw out Vladimir Guerrero as he attempted to steal second base.

Piña missed the first three months of the 2012 season after undergoing surgery for a meniscus tear in his right knee.

The Royals designated Pia for assignment on November 2, 2012, and assigned him to the Omaha Royals outright.

He missed the first half of the 2013 season due to a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee and was placed on the disabled list until June 30.

Pia signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the Atlanta Braves after the 2021 season.
