Joshua Dobbie McKissic was born in August 1993. He participates in American football as a running back with the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL).
He played collegiate football at Arkansas State, where he established the Sun Belt Conference record for career receptions with 289.

Earlier that offseason, the Washington Football Team, then known as the Redskins, changed its identity, and McKissic signed a two-year deal with them on March 26, 2020. McKissic recorded 107 yards from scrimmage and a receiving score in Week 15’s 20-15 loss to his former team, the Seattle Seahawks.
McKissic beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-30 in Week 4 of the 2021 season after scoring the game-winning touchdown on a 30-yard catch and run.
McKissic scored two touchdowns—one running and one receiving—in a win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12 before going down with a concussion.
Later, he was put on injured reserve. McKissic, a free agent in 2022, initially accepted terms on a two-year, $7 million deal with the Buffalo Bills before accepting the identical offer from Washington.
