Spencer Strider, full name Spencer Robert Strider is an American born professional baseball pitcher currently with the Atlanta Braves baseball team. He is 1.83m tall and weighs 88kg.



Spencer was a student at the Christian Academy of Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee where he played baseball for the school’s baseball team. In 2017, he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 35th round of the 2017 MLB draft, but he did not sign with them and chose to play college baseball at Clemson University for the Clemson Tigers.

Whiles in college, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2018. In 2019, he got injured and had to undergo surgery. He returned from the injury in 2020 and was drafted by the Atlanta Braves during the fourth round of the 2020 MLB draft.

He signed with the Braves and made his professional debut that season playing for the Augusta GreenJackets, the Rome Braves, the Mississippi Braves, and the Gwinnett Stripers. The Braves put him on their active roster in October 2021 and he made his MLB debut that night when they played against the New York Mets.

Spencer led the Braves to win the 2021 World Series, giving the Braves their first title since 1995. The Braves added him to their 2022 Opening Day roster for the season.
