Zac Lowther Height: How Tall is Zac Lowther?

Despite Baltimore’s 6-0 loss to the Red Sox at Oriole Park, Lowther’s offseason is off to a good start.

Over five-plus innings, Lowther allowed two runs (one earned) while keeping the Red Sox at bay with only one strikeout. The Orioles were shut out.

Baltimore’s loss on Wednesday pushed them back into a tie with Arizona for the most losses in baseball and the probable top choice in the 2015 Draft.

Lowther, who is expected to compete for a rotation spot in Spring Training 2022, faces immediate consequences.

By the end of 2021, the Orioles will only have John Means’ starting spot reserved for the following season, with Zimmermann also expected to land one.

There could be as many as three rotation spots for Lowther, Wells, and others to contend for in camp even if the team scours the free-agent market for veteran depth as expected.

Lowther, meanwhile, had six appearances, going 0-6 in his first career start but going 3-1 in his final three starts in September.

His 6.67 ERA this season is mostly due to two seven-run performances against Boston on May 8 and Toronto on September 12.

The rest of the season, though, Lowther had a 2.33 ERA in four late-season starts. In 29 2/3 innings of big league action, he walked 13 and struck out 30.
