Luke Jackson is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB). He bats right and throws right.



Luke was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the first round, 45th overall, of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft after his senior year at Calvary Christian Academy.

He turned down the offer to play baseball for the University of Miami after he signed with the Texas Rangers. He joined the playing squad of the minor league team, Hickory Crawdads, for whom he was 5–6 with a 5.64 ERA.



After making his professional debut for the Crawdads in 2011, he was promoted to the High-A Myrtle Beach Pelicans during the season. Between the two teams, he was 10–7 with a 4.65 ERA.

Luke Jackson played for Myrtle Beach and got promoted to the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders in the 2013 season. After the season, he was named the Nolan Ryan Minor League Pitcher of the Year.

Luke Jackson and his wife Corinne welcomed their first child, a son, in 2021. In October 2021, Luke paused for a moment after the conclusion of Game 3 of the World Series to cuddle up to his baby son.
