During his first season, Williams had a total of 13 carries for 44 rushing yards, three receptions for 27 receiving yards, and one receiving score. He also had one receiving touchdown.

Williams carried the ball eight times against the Detroit Lions in Week 4 of the 2019 season, gaining 13 yards and scoring two touchdowns. He also caught three catches for 43 yards, contributing to the team’s victory by a score of 34–30.

Williams sustained a hamstring injury on December 5, 2019, and as a result, he was placed on injured reserve.

Through the course of the season’s final 12 games, he finished with 141 rushing yards and three touchdowns, in addition to 15 receptions for 167 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The Chiefs went on to win Super Bowl LIV while he was out of the lineup, which was their first championship in half a century.
