In his debut, he had two hits and two RBI in four at-bats, with his first MLB hit being a double to right field off of Padres pitcher Colin Rea.

Seager went 4-for-4 with his first MLB home run (off Josh Collmenter), a walk, and a stolen base against the Arizona Diamondbacks on September 12, 2015, making him the third-youngest player in MLB history to do it (after Ken Griffey, Jr. and Orlando Cepeda).

Seager broke Bill Russell’s record of reaching base safely in his first 16 major league starts on September 21, setting a new Dodger record.

In 27 games with the Dodgers, he hit.337 with four home runs and 17 RBI, supplanting Jimmy Rollins as the team’s starting shortstop.
