Jarlin Emmanuel Garcia (born January 18, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). In 2010, Garcia joined the Miami Marlins as a free agent. With the Marlins in 2017, he made his MLB debut.
In August 2010, Garcia signed with the Miami Marlins as a free agent and received a $40,000 signing bonus. He began his Minor League Baseball career at the age of 18 in 2011, and by 2014, he had pitched in 25 starts for the Greensboro Grasshoppers, going 10-5 with a 4.38 ERA and 111 strikeouts, enough for 10th in the South Atlantic League. Following the 2014 season, he was exposed in the Rule 5 draft.
The Giants of San Francisco grabbed Garcia off waivers. In 2020, he pitched for the Giants and had a 0.49 ERA, 19.2 percent strikeout rate, and a 0.982 WHIP across 18.1 innings in 19 games.
Garcia went 6-3 with one save and a 2.63 ERA during the 2021 regular season. He tossed 68.2 innings in 58 bullpen appearances, averaging 6.3 hits, 2.4 walks, and 8.9 strikeouts per 9 innings with a WHIP of 0.961.
