Bailey Gaither is a wide receiver for American football who is currently a free agent. Gaither was born on January 11, 1997.
He attended San Jose State University for his college football career. Gaither enrolled at San Jose State University immediately following his graduation from high school.
In his first year, he wore a red shirt instead of playing and made his first start in 2016. In 2017, he started four of the nine games that the team played and had 22 receptions for 320 yards and four touchdowns.
Due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament, his 2018 season was cut short. In addition to receiving his bachelor’s degree in communication studies, Gaither was named to the First-team All-Mountain West.
Gaither became a member of the Green Bay Packers roster as an undrafted free agent not long after the 2021 National Football League Draft came to a close.
His retirement and placement on the reserve/retired list took effect on August 3, 2021. On August 20, 2021, he was taken off the retired list after being granted a waiver.
Gaither came out of retirement and was selected by the Pittsburgh Maulers in the 14th round of the 2022 USFL Draft.
This brought him back together with Josh Love, his former teammate from their time playing together at the college level.
Due to an illness on May 6, 2022, Gaither was taken off of the active roster and placed on the inactive roster team. On May 14, he was reinstated to the roster of players who are actively participating.
