Mike Ford Parents: Meet Robert Ford and Barbara Marroccoli

Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves have a first baseman on their roster by the name of Michael Harrison Ford. Ford received both the Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year awards while playing collegiate baseball at Princeton University.

In addition to the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants, he has also played for the Seattle Mariners. During the summers of 2012 and 2013, he was a member of the Cape Cod Kettleers and played college baseball.

As an undrafted free agent following the 2012 MLB draft, Ford signed with the New York Yankees. He slugged a total of 105 times between the two squads.



With 13 home runs and 56 RBIs, he hit.293/.383/.458. Ford was picked by the Mariners in the 2017 Rule 5 draft by the Yankees. On the 24th of March, they sent him back to the New York Yankees.

On April 16, the New York Yankees called up Matt Ford and he made his MLB debut the following day. In a 7–6 victory over the Kansas City Royals on April 21, he collected his first Major League Baseball hit, a double to left-centre field off Jorge López.

Against the Cleveland Indians, he made his pitching debut on August 15 and surrendered two home runs. In a 5–4 victory over the Oakland Athletics on September 1, he blasted his first career walk-off home run off of Liam Hendriks.

Ford was raised in Belle Mead, which is located inside Montgomery Township, New Jersey. His parents, Bob and Barb Ford, were his primary caregivers throughout his childhood.

He has ancestry that may be traced back to both Ireland and Italy. On the other hand, very little information is known about his parents.
