Daniel Norris is one of the professional baseball players the Chicago Cubs baseball team has. He plays as a pitcher for the team, wears the number 49 jersey when playing in a game and has a height of 1.88 m with a weight of 82 kg.



Dan grew up in Tennessee where he was born on April 25, 1993. He has two siblings he grew up with, Amanda Haywood and Melanie Norris.

His career as a baseball player started after he was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2011 MLB draft. Dan was drafted in the 2nd round of the draft. In 2012 and 2013,  he was honoured by Baseball America and the Toronto Blue Jays organisation as the 91st best prospect in baseball and the fourth-best prospect in the team.



The Blue Jays promoted Dan to the major leagues in September 2014. He made his MLB debut that very day for the Blue Jays. A year after this promotion, the Rays traded him to the Detroit Tigers baseball team.

The Tigers traded him to the Milwaukee Brewers in July 2021. He played in a total of  18 games for the Brewers before the Chicago Cubs signed him on a one-year contract in March 2022.
