Justin Turner Parents: Meet Betsy Turner And John Turner

One of the Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman players is Justin Turner. Justin was born on November 23, 1984, in Long Beach, California in the United States of America. He has a height of 1.8m and weighs 93kg.



Justin began his amateur baseball career when he was in high school. He attended Mayfair High School located in Lakewood, California. When he completed high school, he enrolled at the California State University in Fullerton where he played college baseball for the University’s baseball team

In 2006,  Justin was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the seventh round (204th overall) of the 2006 MLB draft. He then received a signing bonus of $50,000. He began his professional career when he was assigned to play for the Reds’ Rookie League.



In 2008, the Reds traded him to the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles promoted him to the major leagues in 2009. He made his MLB debut that day for the Orioles.

In May 2010, he was claimed off waivers from the Orioles by the New York Mets. He was with the Mets till 2013 when he was non tendered by the Mets. He then became a free agent and was chosen by the Los Angeles Dodgers who signed a minor league contract with him in February 2014.
