Nolan Laufenberg plays for the National Football League’s Washington Commanders. He is 1.9 m tall and 143 kg in weight. He played football at Castle View High School, where he was three times chosen as an offensive all-conference performer. He was also a member of the German Honor Society and the National Honor Society.

In order to play for the Falcon football team at the United States Air Force Academy, he enrolled there in 2016 after completing his senior year of high school. In 2017, he did not participate in any varsity games as a true freshman. He took part in twelve games as a sophomore, starting nine of them. He was named first-team all-Mountain West Conference and first-team all-American the following season after participating in all thirteen games.

He started 12 of the 13 games he appeared in in 2019 and was first on the club in knockdowns. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 season was cut short, only allowing him to participate in six games. Laufenberg was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent after going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft.
