Bryan Scott Baker is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Baltimore Orioles (MLB). He also played in the Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays, where he made his MLB debut in 2021. Baker attended Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where he grew up.



The Pittsburgh Pirates chose Baker in the 40th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft, but he declined to sign. Baker spent three seasons as a member of the North Florida Ospreys in college baseball.

After posting a 6–4 record and a conference-leading 2.27 ERA with 80 strikeouts as a junior, he was selected first-team All-Atlantic Sun Conference. Baker was selected in the 11th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft by the Colorado Rockies.



He was assigned to the Rookie league Grand Junction Rockies after signing with the franchise.  Baker spent the 2017 season in the Class A South Atlantic League with the Asheville Tourists, where he was shifted to the bullpen and produced a 1.66 ERA. Baker started the 2018 season with the Lancaster JetHawks of Class A Advanced.

On August 14, 2018, the Toronto Blue Jays acquired Baker in a trade for Seung-hwan Oh. He was sent to the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League’s Class A-Advanced division. Baker made his Major League Baseball debut on September 5, 2021, pitching a scoreless inning against the Oakland Athletics.
