Jacob deGrom Parents: Meet Tony deGrom And Tammy deGrom

Jacob deGrom, the full name Jacob Anthony deGrom, is an American born professional baseball pitcher known to play for the New York Mets baseball team. Jacob is 1.93 m tall and earns an annual salary of $33.5 million.



The New York Mets selected him during the 9th round of the 2010 MLB draft. He signed with the Mets and received $95,000 as a signing bonus. Jacob made his professional debut that year after the Mets assigned him to play for the Kingsport Mets of the Rookie-level Appalachian League.

For the 2012 season, he played for both the Savannah Sand Gnats of the Class A South Atlantic League and the St. Lucie Mets of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League. Jacob spent his 2013 season with St. Lucie and was later promoted to the Binghamton Mets of the Class AA Eastern League.

That same year in November, he was added to the Met’s 40-man roster as a way to protect him from Rule 5 draft. He was promoted to the major leagues by the Mets on May 12, 20,14 and he made his MLB debut on May 15 that year against New York Yankees.
