Estrada signed as an international free agent with the New York Yankees in August 2012. In 2013, he made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Yankees, where he lasted the whole season, batting.278 with two home runs and 17 RBIs in 50 games.

He batted.272 in 23 games for the Gulf Coast Yankees and Staten Island Yankees in 2014,.267/.338/.360 with two home runs and 23 RBIs in 63 games for Staten Island in 2015, and.290 with eight home runs, 49 RBIs, and 18 stolen bases in 118 games for the Charleston RiverDogs and Tampa Yankees in 2016.



Estrada played for the Trenton Thunder in 2017 and was named an Eastern League All-Star. In 122 games, he ended with a.301 batting average, six home runs, and 48 RBIs.

After the regular season, the Yankees promoted Estrada to their 40-man roster, and he participated in the Arizona Fall League with the Scottsdale Scorpions.

Estrada was shot in the right hip by youths during a robbery attempt in Venezuela in January 2018. Despite the fact that doctors were unable to extract the bullet from his hip, he was permitted to play.

Estrada had a season-ending back injury in June after a delayed start to his season due to missing spring training.
