David Bote is an American-born professional baseball infielder currently a part of the Major League Baseball and playing for the Chicago Cubs baseball team. He was raised in Colorado where he was born on April 7, 1993.



David was a baseball player back in high school. He was at Erie High School located in Erie, Colorado. After his freshman year, he got a transfer to Faith Christian Academy also in Colorado. He led the baseball team of Faith Christian Academy to win the 3A Colorado state title in 2011.

After his high school career, he went on to play college baseball at Liberty University and then at the Neosho County Community College in Kansas. In 2012, he was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 18th round of the 2012 MLB draft.

David signed with the Cubs after which he was given a $100,000 signing bonus plus college tuition. He began his professional career with the Arizona League Cubs. In 2017,  he was named a Southern League All-Star by the Cubs.

He was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League after the 2017 baseball season and was selected also selected to play in the Fall Stars Game. The Cubs added him to their 40-man roster and he made his MLB debut on April 21, 2018.
