Trevor Joseph May is an American born professional baseball player known to play as a pitcher for the New York Mets baseball team. Trevor is 1.96 m and weighs 97 kg. He also plays number 65 on the team.
Trevor was born and raised by parents Bumblee and Fischer May on September 23, 1989, in Longview, Washington. He had his amateur baseball career at Kelso High School in Kelso where he played baseball for the school’s baseball team.
The Philadelphia Phillies drafted him in the 4th round of the 2008 MLB draft. He signed with the Phillies and began his professional career. Getting to the 2011 season, Baseball America named him as Philly’s best prospect. He also won the Paul Owens Award, which happens to be an award given to Philly’s best minor league pitcher.
In December 2012, the Phillies traded him to the Minnesota Twins. Trevor was promoted to the major leagues in 2014 by the Twins and he made his MLB debut in August that year. The New York Mets signed a two-year contract worth $15.5 million with him and he has been with the Mets to date.
