Bo Joseph Bichette is a Brazillian American professional baseball shortstop for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball MLB he was born on March 5, 1998, in Orlando Florida. He made his Major League Baseball debut on July 29, 2019, for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Although Bichette was homeschooled he was able to compete in the baseball games for Lakewood high school in St. Petersburg Florida. There as a senior, he batted .569 with 13 home runs and was named the Gatorade/USA Today Florida Player of the Year.

Bichette was selected in the second round with the 61st overall selection of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft and later stated that he had turned down four offers during the draft in order to go to Toronto signing for a $1.1 million bonus on June 17.

It is reported in May 2022 that Bichette ranks in the 91st percentile in the average exit velocity (92.5mph) and hard rate(52.2%). He is also in the 81st percentile in the XBA(.292). Per stat cast in  August 2019, both of Bichette’s blasts came off his bat at 105.5mph. Among Bichettes blasts are 107.5mph,441 footers of the Yankees’ Domingo German, and 107.7 mph,436-footer off the Royals’Jakob Junis.

Bichette’s .624 OPS is well below league average and .200 points his career pace. He’s striking out more than ever and welcoming less, too.
