American football cornerback Brandin Echols, who was born on October 16, 1997, is now playing for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL).

He attended the University of Kentucky during his college football career and was selected by the Jets in the sixth round of the NFL Draft in 2021.

When Echols was still in high school, 247Sports.com rated him as a three-star prospect for college basketball. On September 23, 2018, he announced his intention to attend the University of Kentucky.



During the 2021 National Football League Draft, the New York Jets selected Echols with the 200th overall choice in the sixth round.  The official signing of Echols with the Jets took place on May 7th, 2021.

Echols was given the responsibility of starting at cornerback when he made his debut in 2021. Before suffering a thigh injury in Week 10, he started all nine of the games the team played.
