Manuel De Jesus Rodríguez is one of the professional baseball players in the Major League Baseball who serves as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs baseball team. He wears the number 39 jersey and has a height of 1.80 m with a weight of 95 kg.



Manuel was born on August 6, 1996, in Mérida, Mexico. He played baseball non professionally throughout his education in Mexico. He was part of the Mexican League where he played with the Leones de Yucatán. Manuel was with the Leones de Yucatán till 2016 when his contract was bought by the Chicago Cubs.

He was the Cubs and was assigned to play in minor leagues. In 2017, he spent the season playing for the Eugene Emeralds and the South Bend Cubs. For the 2018 and 2019 baseball seasons, he played with the South Bend and Beach Pelicans.



The Cubs added him to their active 40-man roster the 2019 season was over. He was made to play with the Tennessee Smokies and the Iowa Cubs in 2020 and in June 2021, the Cubs chose him to play in the All-Star Futures Game.

Manuel was promoted to the major leagues by the Cubs on July 30 2021. He made his MLB debut that night for the Cubs.
