When did Trent Brown get drafted?

The Raiders signed Trent Brown, a right tackle who was once a Pro Bowler for the Patriots and was available as a free agent in 2019.

He got off to a good start with the Raiders, being named to the Pro Bowl in his rookie year, but he had a history of injury games that limited his playing time.

He wasn’t entirely to blame for his absences, though; in 2020’s November, he was accidentally pumped with air before a game versus the Cleveland Browns, thus he missed that contest.

Brown only appeared in 16 of the team’s 32 games this season due to his absences (he missed 5 games in 2019).

Brown was traded away from the team in March of 2021, also on negative terms with the organization.

Despite dealing with ailments again, he played all of the snaps down the stretch and in the playoffs for the New England Patriots, the team where current head coach Josh McDaniels originally played.

Could the Raiders, now under new management, re-sign Brown for another season in Silver and Black? Fans may have lost interest, but he would be significantly less expensive than he was in 2019 and fill one of the team’s greatest gaps.

The Raiders have an All-Pro caliber left tackle in Kolton Miller, but they need help at right tackle due to a change in leadership.

It is not out of the question that the team at least explores the possibility of bringing Brown back this offseason, given that Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden are no longer with the organization.

When did Trent Brown get drafted?

Trrent Brown was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers on May 2, 2015, with the 244th overall choice in the 7th round of the NFL Draft. Brown participated in a total of 5 games, starting the final 2 regular-season contests of his rookie campaign.
