Thomas Frank La Stella is known to be a professional baseball player who plays as an infielder for the San Francisco Giants baseball team. Thomas was born on January 31, 1989, to Jane and Phil La Stella in Westwood, New Jersey in the United States of America.
Thomas’s non-professional career as a baseball player began at Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey where he played baseball for the baseball team of the school.
After high school, he gained admission to St. John’s University, where he played college baseball for the St. John’s Red Storm baseball team. He was there for one year before he was transferred to Coastal Carolina University where he continued to play for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.
When he graduated from college, the Atlanta Braves selected him in the eighth round of the 2011 MLB draft. He signed with them and began his professional baseball career playing in minor leagues.
For the 2012 and 2013 baseball seasons, he was assigned to play for the Lynchburg Hillcats of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League and the Mississippi Braves of the Class AA Southern League.
The Braves traded him in November 2014 to the Chicago Cubs. Four years after being with the Cubs, they traded him to the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels also traded him in August 2020 to the Oakland Athletics baseball team.
In February 2021, Thomas signed a three-year worth $18.75 million with the San Francisco Giants.
