A deal was then reached between Benenoch and the Patriots, but he was released a few weeks later. The Panthers took Benenoch off waivers, and after he played a few games with them, they waived him.

A couple of weeks after signing Benenoch to a contract, Dallas decided to let him go. It was the Lions that staked their claim on him. As 2020 rolled around, he found himself on the Patriots’ practice squad after being waived by the Lions after training camp.

At training camp, he signed with the Bills, but he eventually ended up with the Saints. The Saints released him from camp and then re-signed him to their practice squad.

Before becoming a free agency this offseason, Benenoch was on and off the Saints’ active roster all of last year.
