Anderson Espinoza, the full name Anderson José Espinoza is a professional baseball player of Venezuelan descent who was born in Caracas in Venezuela on March 9, 1998. He currently plays for the Chicago Cubs baseball team as a pitcher. Anderson was traded to the Chicago Cubs in July 2021 and he has been with the Cubs to date.

The Boston Red Sox baseball team signed Anderson in October 2014 as an international free agent. After signing with the Red Sox, he was given an amount of $1.8 million as a signing bonus with a $200,000 scholarship money.

Whiles playing in the minor league, Anderson was ranked number 10 on MLB.com’s best baseball players list. He was also ranked number four on Baseball America’s international amateur prospect and top-ranked pitcher.

Anderson played for the Red Sox for two years before he was traded to the San Diego Padres in July 2016. Anderson got injured before the start of the 2017 baseball season. He had an elbow injury which made the Padres place him on the injury list that season.

He underwent a Tommy John surgery for his injury. He was not allowed to play in the 2018 season either as he had not fully recovered. The Padres added to their 40-man roster for the 2019 baseball season. Anderson didn’t play in a game in the 2020 season as the minor league season was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
