Collin McHugh Salary: How Much Does Collin McHugh Make?

McHugh was born in Naperville, Illinois, and attended Berry College after graduating from Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn, Georgia.



He played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham A’s and the Wareham Gatemen in the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2007. He was selected in the 18th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Mets.

McHugh signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Atlanta Braves on March 15, 2022. A $6 million club option for 2024.

McHugh started the 2019 season with the Astros as a starting pitcher, a position he earned throughout spring training. After eight starts, he was relegated to the bullpen on May 11, 2019.



At the time of his demotion, he had a 6.37 ERA in 41 innings pitched. McHugh pitched in 35 games (8 starts) for the Astros in 2019, striking out 82 batters in 74+23 innings while posting a 4.70 ERA and a 4–5 record. McHugh chose to become a free agent on October 31, 2019.

McHugh signed a one-year contract with the Boston Red Sox on March 5, 2020. He signed a one-year, $1.8 million contract with the Tampa Bay Rays on February 21, 2021.

McHugh signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Atlanta Braves on March 15, 2022. A $6 million club option for 2024 and a $1 million buyout are included in the agreement.
