Nick Madrigal is an American professional baseball second baseman for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB).

So far in his baseball career, he has played for the Chicago Cubs (current team) and the Chicago White Sox. The beginning of his professional career saw him playing for quite a number of teams such as the Chicago White Sox, Arizona League White Sox, Kannapolis, Birmingham Barons, and the Winston-Salem Dash.

Initially, he was chosen by the Sox in the 2018 Major League Baseball draft where he was signed for $6,411,400 but it was later reported that he was assigned to the Arizona League White Sox before being promoted to the Kannapolis Intimidators in July and the Winston-Salem Dash in August.

During his tenure with the aforementioned minor league teams, Nick slashed .303/.353/.348 with 16 RBIs and eight stolen bases.

During the 2019 minor league season, Madrigal slashed .272/.346/.377 with 52 hits, 20 runs scored, and 17 stolen bases in 49 games with the Winston-Salem Dash.

Nick Madrigal was named to the 2019 All-Star Futures Game. After the 2019 MLB Trade Deadline, he was promoted to the Triple-A Charlotte Knights.
